Our Partnership with Bridge for Young People (BFYP)
At Foundation IT, we’re proud to support Bridge for Young People (BFYP), a charity founded in 2010 by Patsy and John Stone—foster carers who dedicated over 20 years to helping children and young people. Their mission is simple but powerful: every child and young person should have the right to support, so they can become happy, confident, and successful adults.
The Challenge
When BFYP first started, they were a small, close-knit team focused on making a difference for young people leaving care. Like many charities, their resources were limited, especially when it came to IT. As they grew, opening new houses and expanding their services, the need for robust, reliable technology became clear.
Our Solution
That’s where we came in. Over the past 7–8 years, we’ve worked side by side with BFYP, helping them build secure IT infrastructure, supporting their growth, and ensuring their systems are Ofsted-ready. We’ve collaborated on projects like Wessex House, providing tailored solutions that prioritise safeguarding and the unique needs of vulnerable young people.
Our support goes beyond technology. We get involved in BFYP’s events, fundraising, and volunteering. We’ve even provided work placements—like Joe, whose apprenticeship with us helped launch his IT career. We’re not just a service provider; we’re part of the BFYP family.
The Impact
BFYP now operates with confidence in their IT systems, knowing they’re robust and fit for purpose.
Our partnership has enabled BFYP to focus on their mission, while we handle the technical challenges and anticipate future needs.
We’ve contributed to fundraising, donated equipment, and supported young people directly through work experience opportunities.
Looking Ahead
We’re excited to continue supporting BFYP’s mission. Whether it’s joining in-person events, helping with new projects, or simply being there when they need us, our partnership is built on trust, respect, and a shared commitment to changing lives.
