SharePoint 2010 provides new Business Intelligence functionality which caters for the provision of simple dashboard applications to highly interactive analytic solutions, including:

  • Integration with SQL Server Reporting Services to host interactive reports and models

  • The use of PerformancePoint to deliver powerful analytics

  • Creation of powerful dashboards, KPI's and balanced scorecards

  • Charting and Graphing

  • PowerPivot capabilities for rich interactive high volume pivot analysis

  • Publishing Excel spreadsheets (or named ranges within it) directly to a SharePoint page

  • Visio integration for data visualisation
